Dante's weapons are plentiful and destructive. He gets many demonic weapons and regular guns.
Devil Weapons
-Alastor is the magical blade that gives him Devil Trigger. The sword is possessed by Alastor and can be found in mission 2, in a statue of a woman. Alastor is a lightning demon, so it gives Dante fast attacks and airbourne based moves. Also the sword gives Dante other moves like airhike and stuff.
-Ifrit is a gauntlet weapon. Ifrit is a fire demon and so the weapon is on fire. When Dante uses Ifrit, his attacks are slow but powerful.
-Force Edge is a standard sword that Dante uses on default. It is his keepsake from his father and he likes to use it a lot. This sword pretty much sucks but it shows you the basics.
-Sparda is a weapon that Dante's dad used. It has multiple forms and is actually very strong. It's only downside is that it doesn't have Devil Trigger so it is not recommended for boss fights.
